mum's golden needle soup

ingredients

4 dried shiitake mushrooms
1 big handful dried lily flowers
dried beancurd sticks
4 or 5 jujube fruits
handful of goji berries, optional
2 packs glass noodles or mung bean noodles
chicken stock for base
celery
spring onions
ginger, sliced
chicken powder
MSG

4 dried shiitake mushrooms | 1 big handful dried lily flowers

Soak the dried shiitake and lily flowers for half an hour.

celery | spring onions | ginger, sliced | chicken powder | MSG | salt

Boil the chicken stock with celery sticks, spring onions whole, sliced ginger, chicken powder, MSG, and salt. Simmer for a while until the celery is soft.

Add the dried shiitake, lily flowers, beancurd sticks, jujubes, goji berries, and noodles. Simmer for 10 - 15 minutes.
